New Yarns for Goat Lovers!
A chaotic colorway, and a fairly serene one
It is a very goat-y yarn update for February! There are three colorways available for pre-order, including some brand new chaos called 8 Baby Goats.
You may remember that we had 8 unplanned baby goats born the week of Thanksgiving. They are all doing great, and demanded their own yarn. We really tried to capture their hectic exuberance with a bit of stripe pandemonium. The yarn has three medium stripes of straw, gray rock, and undyed sheep (the three things baby goats love to jump on most), surrounded and encircled by random lengths of brown, black, gray, pink, and white – the colors of a tornado of baby goats. These sections are unplanned and will be different on each dye lot. They’re just mayhem!
One of the goat mamas, Sunshine, was the subject of the February 2023 yarn club, which is now available for preorder for the first time. Sunshine is just a sweet goat who doesn’t cause trouble or try to break things, and her colorway is called Joy. It is the rainbow of the winter morning.
Finally, it’s time for a Quarterly Walk With Us colorway, and this one is devoted to the little things we notice on winter walks with sparse scenery. It’s called Bubblegum Rock and is available as either a quarterly club subscription or as a single skein.
Knitters who had signed up previously for the quarterly club received a newsletter with the story of Bubblegum Rock and preview of the yarn, and were automatically billed for it. If you sign up for the club, I’ll send you a link to the newsletter, so you can read more about it too. The quarterly club is non-exclusive and you receive a preview of the yarn before your club charge is processed.
