New: Snowy yarn, Pink Spinning packs
Speckles, and "Battvent for February"
I love snow, so I’m a bit giddy about the weather forecasts for next week (my goats and chickens, however, are going to hate it). It seems that snowy Januarys lead me to dye speckled yarns, and I’ve got two of them for you this month!
First is a brand new colorway called Accumulating Snow. I dyed it so that falling speckles accumulate into a light stripe, which gets darker. The stripes also get thicker as we work through the color progression of a icy pure blue, a glacial blue-green, and a cold navy midnight.
Bill sees this colorway a different way. As a result of his upbringing in Central New York, he thinks it is bands of Lake Effect clouds dropping snow from the sky. He orients the dark stripe on top to represent the thickest clouds, which gradually thin and then turn into falling snow.
What do you think? Either way, it’s a very wintery colorway! Accumulating Snow is available on all our yarn bases. Preorders are open now through January 16.
The January 2024 yarn club colorway, Oology, is also available for pre-order. Oology is the study of eggs and this yarn features five stripes of bird eggs, including Robin and Mockingbird.

Battvent is a lot of fun to celebrate the darkest days of the year. But we all know that just because the days are getting longer, it doesn’t mean they’re getting brighter! February can be quite dreary and I think we need a bit of color for one of the grayest months of the year.
February Color Spinning Packs are available for preorder. They contain 12 different mini batts of 0.25 ounces each, for a total of 3 ounces of fiber. There are two different packs available (for a total of 24 different minis), but they are all pink! So pink!

These packs feature 12 mini batts (0.25 oz each - for a total of 3 oz) mixed in a large ziplock bag. There are two different sets of 12 available, so if your purchase 2 sets, you will receive 24 different minis. Preorders are open now and spinning packs will ship by January 20.
