Did you see the eclipse? Wasn’t it amazing? We’re in the middle of hosting a whirlwind of guests and recovering from some events, so this is a super quick note to say that April preorders are open!
The first is a brand new colorway inspired by a lonely sock in my mending pile. It captures the colors of a Fair Isle sock I knit that currently has a hole in the heel. The random thick and thin stripes are meant to evoke the different size motifs in the colorwork pattern. Mending Pile has glorious deep plum and teal, with a bit of vanilla, and two shades of gold.
The second yarn is Fence Posts, which was the April, 2023 Farm Life yarn club colorway. (See the clever, unrelated email subject now? Mending and Fences?) There are a lot of fence posts on our farm and all the surrounding land. I love investigating them on our walks - they are quite dynamic throughout the seasons.
This yarn has stripes of Rusty Wire, Green Algae, and Weathered Wood. It is available for preorder through April 21!
A quick note on Corriedale! I don’t have Corriedale yarn available at the moment, but I do expect it by the end of this month. It is currently not listed for preorder for these yarns, but if you’d like it, please send me an email and we can make arrangements!
There are a few ready-to-ship batts in the shop, and we’re about to start new themes for the mystery batt club (coming May). If there’s anything you’d like to see from batt club, or spinning fiber in general, please send me an email: jsmoskal@gmail.com!
Thank you so much for your interest in our shop! Your support means the world to us.
